According to the report, Facebook will give internet through underwater water cables in Africa so that the Facebook service can get more detail. Two of the world’s largest tech companies are preparing to deliver the Internet through Google and Facebook Undersea Cable in Africa. Africa has the lowest internet penetration rate compared to other continents and it is 35.9%. There is a lot of potential for both these companies, and this is being targeted by the Undersea Cable planning.
The name of Google’s project is Equiano, while Facebook’s Undersea Cable named Simba is the project. According to a report by Daily Mail, it is not clear whether Facebook will partner with any African Telecom operator.
